Job Title: Google Workspace SME
Location: Sheffield/London- 3Days/week Onsite
Duration: 6months+ Contract Inside IR35
Overview:
The client wants to set up a backup for their current Microsoft 365 environment and migrate to Google Workspace. They need an expert who understands both platforms and can manage a smooth, secure transition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess the current M365 setup (email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, security policies).
* Design and implement backup / data protection strategy for M365 before migration.
* Plan and execute migration from M365 to Google Workspace (Mail, Drive, Chat, Calendars).
* Configure and manage Google Workspace admin console, including users, groups, security, and policies.
* Handle data transfer, coexistence, and troubleshooting during migration.
* Ensure security, compliance, and governance as per banking standards.
* Work closely with internal IT teams and vendors to ensure a seamless transition.
* Provide documentation, user guidance, and post-migration support.
Required Skills:
* Strong hands-on experience with Google Workspace administration.
* Deep understanding of M365 (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams).
* Experience using migration tools (BitTitan, Google Workspace Migration Tool, CloudM, etc.).
* Knowledge of identity management – Azure AD / Google Identity / SSO.
* Strong understanding of security, data loss prevention (DLP), and compliance (banking/financial domain preferred).
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
* Experience working with large enterprise or banking clients.
* Certifications (Google Workspace Admin, Microsoft 365).
* Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
