Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN/SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Manchester. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs supported. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs)/SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We work with children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We are looking for SEN/SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Manchester. Our mission at Targeted Provision is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout placements by our team of SEN/SEND Support Specialists. This role is ideal for qualified SEN/SEND teachers who enjoy 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

* This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Support provided via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN/SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet individual needs and progress educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
* Work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* Understand there is no fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position

Qualifications and Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
* Ability to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and follow safeguarding policies at all times
