What you will do
* Work closely with the H&S Leader and Business Support Team to support safety, quality and production objectives on the Airbus wing assembly at the Broughton plant.
* Assist with accident reduction and risk assessments; participate in accident investigations and implement H&S improvement actions.
* Support cost-saving initiatives and lead strategic improvement projects as part of business support.
The role requires an understanding of fundamental lean principles and the ability to support and implement projects to completion. A development programme will be provided to accommodate differing levels of PM knowledge.
Responsibilities
* Implement and support health and safety processes in daily production activities.
* Contribute to improvements in the industrial system to enable flexible production rates.
* Engage with stakeholders at all levels to influence safety and quality outcomes.
What we look for
* Undergraduate student enrolled for the entire duration of the placement; please provide your expected graduation date.
* CV and a Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability.
* Studying towards a degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent; interest in Lean manufacturing.
* IT skills (Google Suite); strong communication and teamwork abilities; willingness to learn and take risks.
Requirements and security
* Security: You will be subject to a BPSS check; UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control may be required depending on the role.

About us
We are the Business Support Team and Health & Safety experts on Airbus commercial wing family, focused on exceeding customer safety and quality expectations on the A350 wing at the Broughton plant near Chester. This internship offers strong development opportunities in business and operations management and exposure to daily production activities in wing manufacturing.
