We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experience Adults Occupational Therapist to join our business, reporting directly to our Director of Quality and Compliance.
The role of an Occupational Therapist here at IBC Health Care is a pivotal role in ensuring that across our entire organisation that all people we support (PWS) have received a comprehensive assessment on their needs, prior their care with us and throughout their journey to sustain independence within their own home, surrounded by their person-centred care team.
This is a brand-new role for the business, moving away from external support and the person appointed will have complete accountability on delivering bespoke comprehensive assessments to enhance care plans, support strategies and continuous developments. You will work exceptionally closely with our front-line care services, business development and referrals teams and lead on all occupational health maters across all of our incredible services.
Contract : Full-Time, permanent.
1. Hours: 40 hours a week, full-time Monday – Friday
2. Salary: up to £45,000pa
3. Binus: Annual performance related
4. Location : Hybrid working, with regular travel across the organisation
Key Responsibilities:
5. To work in collaboration with the referrals and assessments team by conducting assessment supervisions on adults with complex needs looking to transition their care plans to IBC Health Care.
6. Undertake complex assessments, care planning, and facilitate the provision of specialist equipment and adaptations prior the person we will be supporting moves in.
7. Manage, monitor, and review care plans, collaborating with PWS, Services Care Teams, Social Services, local authorities, and other external stakeholders.
8. Overseeing regular assessments to PWS across the organisation to ensure that all necessary requirements are met and implemented in line with the bespoke needs of each individual, ensuring independence, safety, and suitability.
9. Participate in the development and management of team systems, including data recording and analysis.
10. Implement policies such as Safeguarding Adults and Health and Safety, while staying updated on relevant legislation and guidance.
11. Encourage participation, initiate research, and recommend best practices for service development.
12. To support the Director of Quality and Compliance with implementing robust strategies across the organisation to support efficient and robust occupational assessments strategies.
13. To be the point of contact for all Occupational matters across the entire organisation
14. To business partner with front line service management teams and be recognised across the business as the lead in supporting with PWS adjustments to their homes and care plans in line with their individual needs.
15. To ensure that all care plans are bespoke to the PWS, and that adjustments to care service deliverables meet the needs of the PWS.
Person Specification
16. Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC.
17. Hold a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the College of Occupational
18. Must have worked withing an occupational Therapist role of a minimum of 2 years.
19. Therapists and registered with the Health Professions Council.
20. Experience in health or social care settings with a range of adults with complex needs.
21. Ability to work efficiently on own initiative in a non-clinical setting.
22. Ability to prepare professional reports and support plans.
23. Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidance.
24. Experience working with multiple agencies and autonomously managing caseloads.
25. Flexibility in working times and locations.
26. Must be a driver and wiling to travel where requires conducting assessments.
