What is the job role?

Come and join us at an exciting time and be part of the Professional Support Service – an administrative team that makes a positive difference in supporting Children’s Services daily!

We are at the heart of Children’s Services in Coventry, working with colleagues at all levels across the service to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable Children and Families across the City.

We are looking for people with potential, enthusiasm, a flexible approach and ready to develop their knowledge & skills. We value commitment and efficiency in action, a willingness to take the initiative and a mind open to new challenges.

In this role you will be providing administrative support to a variety of areas the Professional Support Service works within across Coventry and therefore need to be flexible to travel independently to different locations as required. You will be responsible for updating electronic management systems, handling calls, data processing, supporting with note taking and other tasks as appropriate.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

This apprenticeship role is a fixed term contract for 21 months in line with the length of the apprenticeship training.

Pre-interview and assessment date: 6th – 24th July
Interview date(s) (Face-to-face): 20th July - 7th August

The pre-interview is a short session to give the candidates further details of the apprenticeship role and to help them understand what to expect from and how to prepare for the final interview. You will also complete a short diagnostic assessment to check the level of Maths and English that they are currently working at and identify any support they may require.
