Virgo Care Homes are looking to recruit Health Care Workers. For this position you will be located at Thomas Gabrielle Nursing Home in Old Cwmbran.
Thomas Gabrielle Nursing Home is a care home offering care to individuals with a diagnosis of dementia and complex Nursing needs. The Home is a very busy home. You will be supported to develop as you may wish into the care profession. You will be delivering all aspects of care to clients living in the home and supporting them to continue living their lives with meaningful activities. Being part of a team is really important as working without team work we have nothing. The focus of the home is to ensure clients feel safe and cared for by promoting choice, dignity and respect. You will also be supported in completing the All Wales Induction framework. QCF training can be arranged for you if you have not already achieved this status.
Registration with Social Care Wales will be required as per guidance.
We currently have both full time and part time contracts available. You will have the opportunity to either work morning shifts/afternoon shifts/a balance of both or long days if preferred. This will be discussed in more detail at the interview.
The hours of work are either 7am - 2pm, 2pm - 8pm or 7am - 8pm. Your shifts will be scheduled on a 4 week rota and you will be expected to work shifts across Monday - Sunday with the expectation of working every other weekend.
