We are seeking experienced and highly skilled SEND Teaching Assistants who have specific training and expertise in supporting children and young people with these needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver targeted support to students with visual or hearing impairments, adapting resources and strategies to meet individual needs. Use specialist techniques and assistive technologies to promote engagement and independence. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging confidence and participation in all aspects of school life. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to implement personalised learning plans. Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to reviews and planning meetings. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have proven experience supporting students with visual or hearing impairments in an educational setting. Hold relevant training or qualifications in sensory support or specialist SEND provision. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability when meeting diverse needs. Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to use British Sign Language (BSL) or Braille (desirable but not essential).
