A leading Health & Safety Consultancy are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long‑standing team, offering exposure throughout the construction industry working with a range of contractors nationwide. This Health & Safety Advisor will play a key part within their existing Health & Safety team, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
The role of Health & Safety Advisor
As Health & Safety Advisor you will be expected to oversee various sites throughout the region, including education, healthcare, MOD & industrial new builds, refurbishments & extensions, traditionally working across Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex and Surrey. The ideal candidate will have an H&S background and preferably previous onsite experience. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to diversify and develop their career within the construction industry.
Responsibilities for Health & Safety Advisor
* Oversee the roll out and enforcement of policies & procedures across sites.
* Regularly visit sites carrying out audits, offering training and support where required, and documenting via regular reports.
* Assist with projects and meetings from pre‑construction stage through to completion & handover.
Requirements for Health & Safety Advisor
* Relevant NEBOSH certification, preferably a Chartered member of IOSH.
* Strong understanding of HSQE legislation and best practice.
* Self‑motivated and driven attitude with the ability to motivate, teach and train others.
