Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed football coach to join our growing grassroots club. Working with boys and girls aged 3 to 15, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of players, helping them build both technical skills and a lifelong love for the game.
The ideal candidate will bring proven coaching experience, a passion for youth development, and the ability to engage and motivate players of all abilities. Beyond delivering high-quality training sessions, you will instill teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, ensuring every player thrives both on and off the pitch.
Where we are based
We are based in central London, with training sessions primarily held at Regent's Park, Paddington Recreation Ground, and Academy Sport. Our teams compete across several leagues, including the Regent's Park Youth League and the Camden & Islington Youth League. Coaches will be expected to travel to these locations for training and match days.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement training programmes that enhance players' skills and fitness levels.
* Conduct regular practice sessions, focusing on both individual and team performance.
* Analyse game footage to provide constructive feedback and improve strategies, while also creating match reports following games.
* Foster a positive team environment that encourages participation and personal growth.
* Collaborate with other coaching staff to plan for matches and tournaments.
* Maintain open communication with players, parents, and school administration regarding progress and expectations.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote fair play at all times.
Qualifications
* At least 1 year of proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in football.
* Completion of the FA Introduction to Coaching football course
* Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with players of varying ages and abilities.
* Knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
* First Aid certification is desirable but not essential; training may be provided.
