You will work closely with manufacturing partners, primarily in Asia and Europe, to oversee supplier audits, production processes, and product quality.

This role requires technical expertise in electronic manufacturing and a hands-on approach to identifying and resolving issues on the production line. You will be responsible for maintaining strong supplier relationships, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring all products meet regulatory and safety standards. Regular international travel and collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to your success.

What you'll be doing

* Own and lead the process for qualifying new suppliers, ensuring quality, compliance, environmental, repair, and refurbishment requirements are implemented for new OEM, ODM, and IoT products.
* Represent the Supplier Quality & Development team during the sourcing of new ODM products and suppliers, negotiating quality requirements to achieve positive outcomes for the business and customers.
* Deploy and manage the supplier qualification audit process for introducing new suppliers and the quality planning process for new products and devices.
* Lead in-life supplier performance management activities, including monthly supplier scorecard reviews and quality review meetings to address gaps and agree on improvement opportunities.
* Lead the 8D process to investigate and resolve serious product failures, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Champion product and supplier improvement and development for all new and in-life products for OEM, ODM, and IoT suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
* Plan and execute environmental due diligence for new and in-life ODM products, including technical investigations in the event of a legal breach.
* Represent the business during supplier site visits and audits, delivering effective stakeholder management with senior supplier representatives during UK and offshore meetings.

The skills you'll need

* Extensive experience in the design and manufacture of electronic or telecommunication products.
* Subject matter expert in lean manufacturing, product design, and reliability of electronic consumer products and their components.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple geographies, with expertise in Lean quality principles and tools such as TPS, DFM, SPC, APQP, and Six Sigma (preferably Green or Black Belt certified).
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, testing for ROHS & REACH regulations, and EN 62368 & EN 60950 product safety standards.
* Comfortable working overseas independently in a foreign environment; proficiency in written and spoken Chinese or Vietnamese is advantageous.

We will also offer reasonable adjustments for the selection process if required, so please do not hesitate to inform us.

DON'T MEET EVERY SINGLE REQUIREMENT?

Studies have shown that women and people who are disabled, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse or from ethnic minority backgrounds are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification and criteria. We're committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace where everyone can be their best, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every requirement on the Job Description, please apply anyway - you may just be the right candidate for this or other roles in our wider team.
