CK Group is recruiting for a Procurement Category Manager, Facilities Management, to join a growing research facility in Bournemouth on a permanent basis. This hybrid role requires on-site presence three days a week.

The Role:
Seeking an experienced, commercially savvy Procurement Category Manager to oversee Hard and Soft Facilities Management services, including Laboratory Equipment and related categories.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement category strategies for Facilities Management procurement, covering mechanical & electrical (M&E) maintenance, cleaning, security, catering, workplace services, and minor construction works.
* Manage procurement for subcategories like Laboratory Equipment and technical services supporting facilities and operations.
* Lead tendering, negotiations, supplier selection, and contract awards to ensure value, quality, and risk mitigation.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as Facilities teams, Real Estate, Laboratory Managers, Health & Safety, Finance, and Legal.
* Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify cost savings, service improvements, innovation, and sustainability opportunities.
Your Background:
* Extensive procurement experience, especially in Facilities Management sourcing.
* Experience in procuring laboratory equipment and services within an FM context.
* Background in biotechnology or pharmaceutical environments.
* Proven contract negotiation and management skills.
* BSc in Procurement, Facilities Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
* MCIPS qualification or working towards it.
