We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Logistics Group Leader to lead logistics operations at our site. This role is a key member of the management team and serves as the central coordinator for all logistics activities. Responsible for ensuring cross-functional alignment with logistics, and the performance management of the logistics team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong operational mindset, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for driving continuous improvement across the supply chain function.

🔧 What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

1. Build and lead a high-performing Logistics team through coaching, goal setting, and talent development
2. Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
3. Champion GKN Aerospace’s “Great Place to Work” values across all logistics and planning functions

Logistics & Inventory Management

4. Lead all logistics operations: freight, inbound/outbound flows, and internal movements
5. Manage distribution planning and constraints to support outbound logistics
6. Interface with external freight carriers and facilitate deliveries with local stakeholders

Performance & Process Optimization

7. Monitor and analyze Logistics Costs.
8. Reduce total logistics costs through process improvements and strategic initiatives
9. Ensure compliance with GKN standards across people, processes, and tools

✅ What You Bring

10. 5+ years of experience in logistics leadership, ideally in aerospace or advanced manufacturing
11. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations, or related field
12. Deep expertise in ERP systems
13. Strong business acumen and ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
14. Proven track record of driving performance, reducing costs, and leading change
15. US Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements.
