I'm currently recruiting for a respected national law firm, ranked in the Legal 500, with a strong presence in Bradford. The firm has an opportunity for a Defendant Personal Injury Litigator to join its growing team. The Role
You will be responsible for handling a caseload of predominantly fast track Defendant Employer's Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) claims, with occasional low-value multi‑track matters. The work is varied, mainly retail‑focused and spans litigation from commencement through to trial, with some pre‑litigation handling where necessary.
You'll be supported by a modern case management system and a strong supervisory structure, allowing you to focus on quality legal work in a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caselog of Defendant EL/PL claims, primarily fast track
* Handle matters from litigation through to trial
* Occasionally deal with pre‑litigation cases
* Liaise effectively with clients, insurers and counsel
* Maintain compliance with relevant protocols and court procedures
About You
* Minimum 1 year of experience in Defendant EL/PL litigation is required
* Comfortable working independently on a busy caseload
* Strong litigation and negotiation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Well‑organised and client‑focused with strong communication skills
