Inspection Technician
Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 9% non-contributory pension, early Friday finish
We are recruiting for an experienced Inspection Technician to join a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing business based near Uxbridge.
This role focuses on the verification of precision-engineered components within a structured quality environment.
Candidates with proven experience using hand-held inspection tools such as verniers, gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges or DTI’s within a manufacturing environment will be strongly considered.

The Role
As Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection and verification of parts and components to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
Duties include:
* Carrying out testing and inspection of components using a variety of processes and techniques
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Using hand-held inspection tools including verniers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, height gauges and DTI’s
* Generating and maintaining inspection documentation
* Using SAP (or similar systems) to record work in progress and track component batches
* Recording non-conforming products and escalating issues appropriately
* Ensuring all inspection equipment is within calibration
* Supporting Lean initiatives including 5S and continuous improvement
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and H&S compliance
About You
To be considered, you must have:
* Proven inspection experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Strong experience using hand-held inspection tools (verniers, gauges, calipers, micrometers etc.)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Numeracy and geometry skills with working knowledge of GD&T
* Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office) and familiarity with SAP or similar systems
* Understanding of Health & Safety policies and procedures
