Salary: Up to £45,000 + £3,600 Car Allowance

Hays is recruiting for a Mechanical / Petroleum Engineer to deliver safe, compliant and efficient maintenance and project work across a major Defence site. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll play a key part in ensuring operational delivery meets the highest standards of safety and performance.
What you'll do
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and petroleum systems.
* Support project delivery and ensure works are completed safely and on time.
* Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
* Work collaboratively with site teams and contractors to maintain compliance.
* Ensure accurate documentation of works and adherence to safety standards.
* Contribute to improvements and carbon reduction initiatives where possible.
What we're looking for
1. Minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering (Level 2 will not be considered).
2. Strong hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical/petroleum systems.
