We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Service Manager to work with a forward-thinking MSP based in Somerset. The IT Service Manager will be at the forefront of ensuring the company’s services are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. The role involves leading IT service delivery and system administration teams, driving safe and efficient operations. Candidates should have significant experience in shaping and delivering IT projects within a multi-divisional business.
Role responsibilities:
* Collaborate with managers and partners to meet business priorities, conduct service reviews, and implement improvements
* Manage and support project-specific partner services
* Oversee infrastructure and applications, ensuring regulatory compliance
* Work proactively with suppliers to address service gaps
* Maintain and improve Service Level Agreements
* Identify and implement service improvements
* Understand IT cost drivers and recommend cost-effective solutions
* Act as the primary contact for IT issues between the business and partners
* Monitor risks related to operational services and implement mitigation strategies
* Define and monitor system performance metrics
* Manage changes to production services to minimise business impact
* Ensure smooth transition of IT services from delivery to operations
* Allocate resources efficiently within the project portfolio
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders
Skills, experience, and qualifications:
* Strong background in System Administration support
* Experience in delivering service improvements and managing IT service delivery, including financial aspects
* Service-oriented with strong partnership-building skills
* Experience managing external service providers
* Skilled in SLA development and management
* Experience developing services to meet evolving needs
* Practical experience with AzureDevOps, JIRA, or similar tools supporting agile workflows
* Leadership and influence in project teams
* Analytical and decision-making skills
* Negotiation and influencing abilities
* Ability to present reports effectively
