Electrical Senior Design Engineer role at Galliford Try.
The role involves the production of Electrical Design in compliance with the Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations, assisting with the wider PMEICA design and Civils design production activities, providing technical support to supply chain procurement activities and supporting site activities as required. You will also assist with the management of Consultants and Sub-contractors design production.
What you will be doing
As Electrical Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for all activities associated with the production of Electrical Design in compliance with the Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations, assisting with the wider general Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (PMEICA) and Civils design production activities, providing technical support to the supply chain procurement activities and supporting site activities as required. You will also assist with the management of Consultants and Sub-contractors design production.
About You
* Have the necessary qualifications to be accepted to undertake a qualification in a recognised relevant Subject to HNC / Degree Level.
* Gain working knowledge of aspects and law, including The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and CDM 2015.
* Gain a basic knowledge of sub-contract processes – contract and commercial.
* Basic appreciation and use knowledge of project management – programming, cash flow analysis, resource planning etc.
* Willingness to work towards membership of relevant professional institution (e.g. IET).

About The Team
Central Engineering Services is an in-house team providing engineering capability to the wider business. Acting as an internal consultant providing a high-quality service, the Central Engineering Services team deliver alternative solutions, value engineering, buildability and problem/defect resolution including specification compliance issues. The team also provides design and design checking services for a full range of temporary works requirements from excavations and working platforms to formwork, falsework & scaffolding.
