Job Description: JOB SUMMARY
As a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Consultant, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to expectant mothers and their unborn children, focusing on high-risk pregnancies. This role involves diagnosing and managing complications during pregnancy, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing individualized care plans. The consultant collaborates with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal maternal and fetal health outcomes. Additionally, the position includes educating patients and their families about pregnancy-related issues, as well as participating in research and training initiatives to advance the field of maternal-fetal medicine. Strong communication, clinical expertise, and compassion are essential for success in this role.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides high-quality maternal fetal medicine care to patients in this area of medicine.
Provides consultative services as requested.
Supervises fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
Participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and engages in research activities.
Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
Performs special procedures as privileged.
Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
Completion of required training in maternal fetal medicine (MFM).
American Board/FRCS Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/Diplome d'Etudes Spécialisées (DES)/CIS French Board / Facharzt & Sub-Board
Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant role.
A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is mandatory.
Dataflow clearance is required.
Professional Experience
Minimum 3-4 years post-Board/Fellowship experience in Feto-maternal medicine.
Registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
Language
Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
References
