Job Title: Fabric Technician- Battersea Power Station £37k \n\n Vacancy Reference: 75264\n Location: Battersea, London\n Employment Type: Full-Time\n\n Package :\n\n£37,000.00 basic\nMonday to Friday 8 till 5pm\n25 days holiday\nPension\n\n Job Overview:\n\n We are looking for a skilled and proactive Fabric Technician to join our team at Battersea. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality fabric maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with legislative and contractual requirements.\n\n As part of the on-site engineering team, you will uphold our clients professional standards, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the safe and smooth operation of the site’s building fabric and associated assets.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out day-to-day reactive fabric maintenance and repair tasks, including work on fixtures, fittings, and the building envelope.\nEnsure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) by completing all necessary documentation, including work records and compliance logs.\nMaintain regular communication with the site management team regarding job progress and updates.\nAdhere to all company policies, procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.\nProvide support and cover for other team members as required.\nEscort and coordinate with specialist subcontractors when necessary.\nMaintain a professional and customer-focused attitude when interacting with clients and building users.\nUndertake additional duties as reasonably requested by management, including tasks assigned by company directors.\n\n What We’re Looking For:\n\nProven experience in fabric maintenance and repairs within a commercial environment.\nFamiliarity with maintaining building structure, fixtures, fittings, and finishes.\nMinimum of 2 years’ industry experience.\nBasic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.\nBasic knowledge of L8 ACOP (Legionella Awareness).\nMinimum qualification: City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating, Carpentry/Joinery, Plumbing, or equivalent trade.\nIOSH Working Safely certification or equivalent health & safety awareness.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work.\nOpen, honest, and trustworthy with a proactive and “can-do” attitude.\nAble to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\nSelf-motivated, reliable, and able to take initiative when required.\nAwareness of the importance of safe working practices and consideration for others.\nWillingness to learn and develop new skills.\n\n This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team maintaining one of London’s most iconic developments.
