The Role
As an Electrical/Fibre Maintenance Engineer, you will work alongside the rest of the electrical team, operations team, design team, mechanical team and the GFX maintainer.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. The initial Verification, and Periodic Inspecting and testing of Electrical installations
2. Testing, inspecting and recording of the fibre optic cross site capability on-site
3. Supporting the Electrical Lead and Ops Configuration Manager with planning and completing tasking tool activities (minor installs)
4. Leading and working alongside the team to ensure that Electrical, Fibre and Data infrastructure installation work is to the highest possible standard
5. If required, assisting the Electrical Lead to create suitable Electrical Design Packages for installation activities
6. Working the Electrical Lead in mentoring the electrical apprentice
Essential experience of the Electrical/Fibre Maintenance:
7. Experience in either Fibre Optic or Electrical maintenance
8. Previous experience working in a team environment
9. Previous experience in Fibre Optic or Electrical testing
Essential qualifications for the Electrical/Fibre Maintenance:
10. Minimum of NVQ level 3 in Electrical Engineering
11. Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical installations
This role is 37 hours per week based at PTP, Portsmouth. This role is on-site 5 days per week
