This role plays a critical part in ensuring policies, procedures and processes are consistently applied, audited and continuously improved to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.

Location: Peterlee, County Durham (5 days on site)
Contract Type: Agency - 12 month contract, very likely to extend!
Hours: Full Time - 36.6 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £34.05 per hour
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Compliance Co-ordinator to support and strengthen compliant practices across a complex supply chain environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring policies, procedures and processes are consistently applied, audited and continuously improved to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
You will work cross-functionally, leading audits, facilitating improvement projects and embedding a strong compliance culture across the supply chain and production areas.
Key Responsibilities
Create and execute robust audit plans across the supply chain function
Ensure all procedural documents are current, compliant with corporate standards and consistently followed
Audit supply chain processes and identify gaps, supporting teams to agree corrective actions and timelines
Drive compliance culture through training, workshops and continuous engagement
Coordinate cross-departmental projects to improve inventory accuracy, cost control and process compliance
Implement and support self-auditing processes across supply chain functions
Produce, report and present compliance KPIs and performance metrics
Support plant-level compliance activities and inventory accuracy initiatives
Act as a subject matter expert for compliance and inventory-related processes
Present improvement outcomes and recommendations to supply chain leadership Impact of the Role
Achieve 100% on-time completion of SOX corrective actions
Ensure full adherence to corporate policies and internal compliance standards
Improve inventory accuracy and reduce risk of stock loss, cycle count errors and production shortages
Support delivery of corporate supply chain performance targetsSkills & Experience Required
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with common supply chain systems
Proven experience coordinating audits, compliance reviews or process improvement initiatives
Ability to engage stakeholders, influence outcomes and gain cross-functional buy-in
Strong collaboration, communication and negotiation skills
