Philanthropy Manager (Mid-level)
We are recruiting for a Philanthropy Manager for our client, a Christian Faith-based charity, to join the team in this hybrid working role. This is an exciting time to join the Partnerships Team as the organisation seeks to expand its reach and impact.
Position Details
* Location: Fleet, Hampshire / Hybrid (minimum 40% in-office)
* Salary: £39,900 per annum
* Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week)
* Contract: Permanent
* Closing date: 10am on 14 July 2025
* Interviews: First round during the week commencing 21 July; Second round during the week commencing 28 July
The Job
You will co-lead the mid-level donor fundraising programme, building meaningful relationships that inspire increased giving and long-term engagement. Working closely with the Head of Philanthropic Partnerships, you will help shape strategies to ensure excellent stewardship and growth.
* Co-lead the cultivation and retention of mid-level donors using email, phone, meetings, and events.
* Develop and deliver strategies to acquire and engage donors, generating sustainable income.
* Ensure exceptional donor stewardship with accurate record keeping and tailored communications.
* Create compelling content, including thank-you letters, newsletters, and impact reports.
* Collaborate with Marketing and Finance departments to implement donor-focused initiatives.
* Represent the Philanthropy team in cross-functional settings and advocate for mid-level giving.
* Stay informed on sector trends and apply insights to refine fundraising approaches.
About You
The charity seeks a passionate and relational fundraiser with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and grow donor portfolios.
* Experience building trusted relationships with donors or customers in fundraising or business development.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage a donor caseload effectively.
* Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Blackbaud) and Microsoft Office tools.
* Proactive, empathetic, with high emotional intelligence and resilience.
* Genuine commitment to the mission of releasing children from poverty.
* A personal Christian faith and willingness to uphold the charity’s Christian ethos, values, and Statement of Faith.
