Here at Rainbows Hospice, we are currently seeking an Office Cleaner to join our dedicated and vibrant Housekeeping Team to provide a high standard of cleanliness and infection control management in the offices and communal areas of the Hospice. Within this role you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the Hospice focusing on the offices, toilets, staff rooms, kitchenettes, stairs, and corridors.
This role requires you to work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Five 4-hour shifts). There is a requirement to be flexible to support the wider housekeeping team with any other duties as well as provide cover for other team member’s absences.
About the role
As a member of the Housekeeping Team, the Office Cleaner is responsible for providing a high standard of cleanliness in the hospice, focusing mainly on the offices and communal areas.
Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
1. To carry out daily cleaning of all office areas which includes cleaning the toilets, corridors, stairs, kitchenette, and other communal areas on the cleaning schedule.
2. To undertake deep clean of office areas as required, and in line with infection control procedures.
3. To support the wider housekeeping team with any laundering duties as and when required.
4. To perform periodic tasks including curtain changing, organising carpet cleaning or steam cleaning rugs and curtains.
5. To ensure that all products are stored in line with COSHH procedures.
6. To support the wider housekeeping team with any other duties required as well as provide cover for other team member’s absences.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role, with an understanding of infection control guidelines, COSHH and Health & Safety regulations. This role will require manual handling of furniture, so experience or a qualification in manual handling is desirable. It is desirable for the candidate to have experience working within a clinical environment however, training can be provided.
As an Office Cleaner you would need to be able to work as a lone worker at times with good communication skills and the ability to treat all babies, children, young people and families with dignity, respect and understanding. There is a requirement to be flexible to support the wider housekeeping team with any other duties as well as provide cover for other team member’s absences.
