Long Term Futures is working with a successful secondary school in Coventry (CV2) seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Design to join their team from January or April 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented teacher or subject leader to take the next step in their career, providing dynamic leadership within a supportive and forward-thinking school community.
Your Role
Lead and develop the Art and Design department to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons
Inspire creativity, innovation, and a love of learning among students
Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and resource management
Support and develop teaching staff to ensure excellent classroom practice
Work collaboratively with senior leaders to raise standards and promote achievement
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong classroom experience within Art and Design
A proven track record of delivering outstanding results and raising achievement
Experience leading a team or mentoring colleagues within a department
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
A creative, forward-thinking teacher who can inspire both students and staff
