Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Children’s Care Broker to join the Social Care, Health Integration and Wellbeing Directorate in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with a view to extend.
✅ Key Responsibilities:

Work with social care teams, children, and families to identify care needs and source appropriate placements
*
Maximise the use of in-house provisions and approved frameworks before going out to market
*
Negotiate with providers to achieve best value and ensure cost-effective placements
*
Maintain accurate records of care packages, placements, and provider performance
*
Provide advice to social care teams on alternative care options in line with council priorities
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with providers, professionals, and families
*
Support the development of a personalised commissioning service with a focus on quality and efficiency
🎯 Requirements:
*
Knowledge of children’s social care services, commissioning, and the care market
*
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to challenge costs where necessary
*
Experience of analysing and summarising complex information
*
Excellent IT and administrative skills with experience using databases and case management systems
*
Ability to build positive relationships and work effectively under pressure
Location - Stoke on Trent (2 days on site and 3 days from home).
