About the Role This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of facilities management services including cleaning, M&E, security, and front of house (where applicable) to our client. The goal is to ensure that the highest standards of customer service and quality are consistently maintained, while also delivering value for money. You will be overseeing the timely delivery of routine maintenance and services to the allocated directorate, manage service partner performance to ensure SLA compliance, act as a point of escalation for any issues arising, and serve as the key contact for communication with the Senior Operations Manager. The allocated directorate for this role will include Community Hubs, the clients’ main Hubs (Offices), and Corporate Sites. Although this is agile position, attendance at the main office is required three times per week. You will be expected to build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across the business, taking ownership for the service delivery to the Council. Your responsibilities will include: Manage the Facilities Team across core Client hub locations, ensuring high performance and exceptional business support to all internal and external stakeholders. Provide effective and professional guidance to the team, including setting task deadlines, monitoring performance, and conducting appraisal. Oversee the day-to-day delivery of facilities soft and hard FM services via designated suppliers, ensuring high standards at Corporate and Community Hubs. Implement processes aligned with Macro’s purpose, values, and best practices, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Deliver results through strong people and performance management skills, evaluate options, develop solutions, and make effective decisions. Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills. Bring experience from an outsourced FM provider environment. Operate within approved budget and recommend potential cost savings. Deliver small-scale projects on behalf of the client. Keeps abreast of developments in the FM market and demonstrate a commitment to professional development. Lead customer care initiatives and support service teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Drive continuous improvement across service lines to add value add and control. Support the Senior Leadership Team in achieving strategic targets and goals. Participate in the Duty Manager rota, provide call-out support if required, include weekend site attendance and presence at client site, the following Monday. Conduct regular inspections of records to ensure statutory work is completed in line with service contracts and national legislation. Collaborate with the Macro team across the client’s portfolio to maintain high standards and share best practices. Manage day-to-day HSSE responsibilities including: * Manage the training database * Coordinate DSEs, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations. * Arrange training for fire wardens and first aiders. * Conduct return-to-work and pregnancy assessments. * Update the client’ intranet with HSSE matters. * Promote wellbeing campaigns and maintenance of site-specific signage and communication points. * Conduct site visits as required to inspect, supervise, or audit supplier work. * Identify compliance gaps and recommending improvements. * Monitor weekly building audits and logging associated work orders for resolution. * Deliver administrative and customer services to support existing systems and processes to agreed standards. * Maintain high standards of health, safety, and welfare at work, and take reasonable care for the safety of self and others. * Comply with safeguarding policies and procedures as appropriate. * Promote a Safety-First culture where safety is openly discussed. * Ensure QHSE responsibilities are met by following Macro systems and processes and proactively managing client and company risks. About You The ideal candidate will have: * Previous facilities management experience within a corporate FM environment across multiple properties – ideally holding at least IWFM Level 3. * NEBOSH or IOSH certification in health and safety, along with a relevant professional qualification and knowledge of health and safety management. * Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience overseeing security systems and services across a large portfolio. * The ability to build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. * A proactive attitude toward career growth and a genuine interest in the opportunities Macro has to offer.
