1. Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team, supporting both administrative tasks and patient care during interventional radiology procedures.

Main duties of the job
7. The post holder will primarily help provide a seamless service for patients attending imaging for an interventional procedure under Ultrasound, CT or fluoroscopic guidance.
8. The purpose of this role is to support the interventional diagnostic and treatment services. The post holder will be required to work both autonomously using their own initiative and within the team in the development and delivery of the minimal invasive procedure services
9. This role also entails providing support to the clinical nurse specialist team and the clinical nurse educator. The post holder will be predominantly responsible for ensuring the prompt and complete preparation of the patient prior to entering the scanning rooms as well as assisting the operator’s intra-procedure and recovering patients’ post-procedure.
10. It is expected that the post holder is computer literate, experienced within the hospital setting with knowledge and evidence of medical terminology, educated to a level required to perform the role or equivalent experience.
11. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a professional, proficient and comprehensive support service alongside the nursing team, radiographic team, medical and non-medical staff.
12. As part of this role the individual must be proactive, able to closely follow instruction and maintain the highest levels of professionalism with both their colleagues, patients and carers.
