Learning Support Assistant Caerphilly | Immediate Start Available | Full-Time Long-Term Opportunity Weekly Pay £460.80 – £527.80 per week (based on 5 days worked and dependent on experience) Are you looking for a rewarding Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role in Caerphilly? Vision for Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate LSA (Learning Support Assistant) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Caerphilly. This long-term opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience within education, additional learning needs, mental health support, childcare, or care-based professions. This role is based within a fast-paced and supportive primary school where no two days are the same. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff who are committed to creating a positive learning environment and ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant in Caerphilly, you will work closely with teaching staff and specialist professionals to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs and disabilities. You may support pupils with: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Complex Learning Needs Sensory Processing Difficulties Behavioural and emotional support needs Your role will focus on helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, improve communication skills, and achieve their individual targets within a structured and nurturing educational environment. Key Responsibilities Providing one-to-one and small-group support Supporting pupils with additional learning needs throughout the school day Assisting teachers with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks Promoting independence, confidence, and social development Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies Following individual learning plans and safeguarding procedures Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils and staff Supporting communication and sensory regulation programmes Contributing to a positive and engaging classroom environment Requirements Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults is desirable Previous experience supporting ALN, SEN, autism, or complex needs is advantageous A patient, caring, and resilient approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work effectively as part of a busy school team Commitment to supporting pupils with diverse learning needs Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one CACHE Level 2/3, Health and Social Care, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or similar qualifications are desirable but not essential What We Offer Weekly pay of £462.80 – £527.80 Long-term opportunities within supportive primary school settings Access to ongoing CPD and professional development Free and discounted training courses Opportunities to develop specialist ALN and SEN experience Pension contributions Regular social and networking events Dedicated support from an experienced education consultant Potential routes into permanent school-based employment Why Join Vision for Education?
