Overview
We are looking for a friendly and reliable pharmacy dispenser to join our community pharmacy team. The role involves supporting the pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions and helping customers with over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products. You will play an important role in ensuring patients receive their medication safely and receive helpful advice when visiting the pharmacy.
Hours
* Minimum 4 days per week
* 8:30am to 5:30pm
* This will also include a shared rota for Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
Main responsibilities
* Dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
* Preparing, assembling and labelling medication accurately
* Serving customers at the pharmacy counter
* Assisting customers with over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products
* Stock control including ordering, checking and storing medicines
* Maintaining a clean and organised pharmacy environment
* Supporting the pharmacist with day-to-day pharmacy duties
Skills and experience
* Previous pharmacy dispensing experience and/or dispensing qualification preferred
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail
* Friendly, reliable and able to work as part of a team
Training
We ideally want someone qualified and experienced. However, training can be provided for the right candidate who is willing to learn and develop in a pharmacy environment.
