What you\'ll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
The ideal candidate will have a good standard of general education, with GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English, and be competent in the use of software, including Microsoft Office. They will demonstrate a high standard of written and verbal communication skills and be able to respond effectively to time-critical situations. Strong administrative abilities, such as accurate note-taking, combined with excellent time management and organisational skills, will enable them to prioritise and multi-task efficiently. They should be confident in challenging more senior colleagues when appropriate, as well as asking for help when needed. A proactive, self-starting approach, coupled with the ability to use initiative, is essential, as is attention to detail and a positive response to a demanding, varied, and time-sensitive role. The candidate must be capable of dealing with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment. While experience in roster management and within healthcare is desirable, it is not essential. Previous experience of working in a standalone role, particularly in a fast-paced and changing environment, and the ability to manage their own workload effectively, will be highly beneficial.
