Customer Service Officer
North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We’re looking for two Customer Service Officers to join our team working in our Customer Centre in the Belvoir Centre in the heart of Coalville.
About the role
You will join a busy and friendly team of Customer Services Officers providing both face to face and telephone help to residents in the district, covering the full range of services that the Council provides. There may be the opportunity to work from home on a hybrid basis following the initial training and completion of competency checks. There is also the potential to progress to a higher-level Customer Service Officer, based on your capability where, if successful, you would deal with customer’s financial matters e.g. council tax and benefits.
Our ideal candidate
Someone who can talk to people at all levels, has effective listening and verbal and written communication skills. You must be passionate about and able to deliver excellent customer service to everyone you talk to.
• 36¼ hrs per week with an annual salary of £24,790 - £25,183 (pay award pending)
• 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years (full time equivalent)
