Senior Multi-Skilled Site Engineer – FMCG Manufacturing
Greenford
A growing FMCG manufacturing business is seeking a Multi-Skilled Senior or Lead Engineer (DOE) to join their site during an exciting period of expansion and investment.
This is a unique opportunity to be the first on-site engineer, taking ownership of maintenance operations and playing a key role in building out the engineering function.
The Role
As Senior Site / Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of site equipment and supporting production through both planned and reactive maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out multi-skilled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns
- Fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems
- Supporting production to minimise downtime and improve reliability
- Involvement in projects, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with site standards
Equipment & Systems
You will be working on a wide range of manufacturing equipment, including:
- Conveyor systems
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Pumps, motors and gearboxes
- PLC-controlled machinery
- Compressors and valves
- Sensors and control systems
- Bearings and drive systems
- Packaging / processing equipment
About You
- Multi-skilled engineer (mechanical or electrical bias)
- Strong background in manufacturing / FMCG / clean environments
- Proven experience in maintenance, fault finding and breakdown response
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Engineering qualification - Electrical or Mechanical (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
