We have an opportunity for a proactive, diligent, and ambitious Projects Support Officer to join our Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres (ECMC) team. This role supports the delivery of key projects across the ECMC Programme Office's strategic pillars.
You will be the first point of contact for ECMC Centres and stakeholders, liaising with the wider programme office and CRUK representatives to ensure smooth operational, financial, logistical, and administrative functions of the network.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing operational support for the ECMC Programme Office and network administration, including drafting correspondence, minutes, reports, slides, and presentations.
2. Maintaining an accessible filing system.
3. Supporting communication across the network by acting as the central contact point, responding to routine enquiries, and redirecting complex ones.
4. Supporting maintenance of communication channels such as LinkedIn, ECMC webpages, newsletters, and resources.
5. Engaging with stakeholders, including pharma companies and ECMC centres, to support clinical research opportunities.
6. Managing and maintaining processes and systems to ensure Programme Office-wide implementation.
7. Supporting the organisation, running, and attendance of internal and external meetings and conferences, including sourcing venues, catering, registration, travel, accommodation, communication with speakers and delegates, virtual meeting requirements, and on-the-day support.
8. Handling financial administration tasks such as processing invoices and expenses.
You do not need a science background to succeed in this role. We seek a proactive, can-do individual eager to develop their admin, communications, project management, and coordination skills. In this position, you'll work across stakeholders to support various projects and tasks, gaining hands-on experience in partnerships, communication, and more. You will be surrounded by dedicated people committed to beating cancer.
Requirements include experience in providing administrative support, familiarity with tools like Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, Mural, and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills, confidence as a central contact, relationship management skills, experience supporting large meetings, excellent time and people management skills, and experience managing NDAs and sensitive communications are essential.
