Protocol Education is currently working with an OUTSTANDING school based in Enfield.
The Headteacher of this lovely 3-form entry primary school is looking for a passionate and experienced KS2 teacher to join their team.
Due to the current Year 6 teacher leaving for maternity leave, they are seeking someone with experience who can start immediately and help prepare students for their SATs this year.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
* Carry out professional duties as a teacher under the reasonable direction of the Headteacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
* Perform responsibilities with regard to the Trust’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
* Participate actively in extra-curricular activities.
Teaching and Learning:
* Plan lessons and sequences of lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge.
* Use assessment information effectively to inform future planning.
* Teach whole classes, groups, and individuals, establishing high expectations of behaviour and attainment.
* Monitor and intervene during lessons to ensure sound learning, discipline, and a safe environment.
* Be familiar with the Code of Practice for SEN and support pupils accordingly.
* Critically evaluate your teaching to improve effectiveness.
Professional Knowledge and Understanding:
* Keep up-to-date with the National Curriculum and syllabus for Religious Education.
* Promote SMSC and British values within the curriculum and school ethos.
* Understand how various aspects of development affect learning.
* Make good use of ICT skills in teaching and classroom management.
* Familiar with the Trust’s policies, including Health and Safety and Child Protection.
* Use data to set achievable targets for pupils.
* Build effective relationships with colleagues and parents.
* Participate in the Performance Management Cycle.
* Engage in ongoing professional development.
* Be mindful of health and safety regulations related to your duties.
* Implement Trust policies appropriately.

Pay rates are inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency later.
