Night Lead Childrens Homes Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week Location: Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6RQ Salary: £30,862 £31,858 depending on experience (plus excellent benefits) Seashell is a charity dedicated to providing a creative, happy, and secure environment for children and young people with complex needs and additional communication challenges from across the UK. We have 17 purpose-built home-from-home, four bedroomed houses for children and young people who need residential support. We can provide 24-hour care, weekly and termly boarding, and 52-week placement for individuals aged 3-25 years. This opportunity is to support our children who are up to 18 years old. All our homes are based on our one site and so no travel is required. Our new Night Lead will work closely alongside another Night Lead supporting the Service and will directly manage the shift leads/seniors and associated staff teams in promoting quality sleep for our young adults; and when awake a safe, caring, and purposeful learning environment that will assist them to achieve their fullest potential. The ideal candidate for this role is likely to be an experienced, qualified Senior Support Worker with supervisory skills, or an experienced Night Manager looking for a new challenge. Some information about the role: Experience and understanding of disability, mental health and autism. Level 3 Health and Social Care (CCYP) - Level 5 Health & Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential). Good knowledge of CQC regulations and experience of implementing CQC Fundamental Quality Standards for Homes for young adults. Extensive knowledge and experience of working with young people with learning disabilities and complex needs. Strong experience of managing a staff team; supervising and completing appraisals with staff in a care setting. Experience of disability, mental health and autism spectrum conditions. Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to write and maintain reports and children / young people notes. Communicate effectively with parents/staff/other professionals.
