Onsite IT Support
Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment? We're working with a leading IT services provider to recruit a Tech Bar Engineer to support a high-profile public sector client onsite in Glasgow.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on IT support, interacting with users at all levels, and being the go-to person for resolving day-to-day tech issues.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Acting as the face of the IT department at the onsite Tech Bar
* Providing first-line support for hardware and software issues (Windows OS, MS Office, mobile devices)
* Troubleshooting laptop issues, including RAM/battery swaps and re-imaging devices
* Assisting users with connectivity issues, password resets, and printer support
* Supporting new starters with setup and onboarding
* Offering proactive laptop health checks and floor-walking during major incidents
* Helping with meeting room tech setup and visitor support
* Managing returns, stock replenishment, and basic diagnostics
* Supporting internal events and identifying service improvements
What We're Looking For:
* Strong experience with Windows OS and general PC troubleshooting
* Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
* A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
