Process Engineer – High Voltage Power Devices - VISA & Relocation support available
Join a Growing Power Semiconductor Hub
We’re supporting a global semiconductor organisation investing heavily in its MOSFET wafer fabrication facility. Operating both 150mm and 200mm lines, the site supports advanced analog, CMOS, BiCMOS and discrete technologies and is strengthening its capability in high-voltage power devices.
This is a technical role within the R&D Center. You’ll work at the intersection of device physics and manufacturing reality, shaping how high-voltage LDMOS and power MOSFET technologies are developed, integrated and scaled into high-volume production.
You will be responsible for:
Developing process integration and module strategy for high-voltage LDMOS / MOSFET technologies.
You will contribute to device architecture feasibility, manufacturability, yield performance and long-term platform robustness.
What you will be doing:
* Process integration for high-voltage LDMOS / power MOSFET technologies
* Define and refine process flows to achieve breakdown voltage, on-resistance, charge balance and ruggedness targets
* Collaborate with device engineers to align doping profiles, oxide structures, trench/field architectures and metallisation schemes
* Design and execute complex DOE programmes to optimise performance and process windows
* Analyse electrical, thermal and reliability characterisation data to validate models and identify gaps
* Drive yield enhancement and defect reduction initiatives using structured methodologies (SPC, FMEA, 8D, data analytics)
* Investigate device-level failures using advanced diagnostic tools (SEM, TEM, FIB, EDX etc.) in partnership with FA teams
* Support qualification and reliability validation including HTRB, TDDB, ESD and UIS-related investigations
* Contribute to technology roadmap discussions, including evaluation of advanced device structures (e.g. trench, superjunction, shielded gate concepts)
* Provide technical leadership across process, design, product and manufacturing functions
* Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across the fab
What you will bring:
* Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or Microelectronics
* 5+ years’ experience in power semiconductor device and process development
* Strong background in high-voltage LDMOS or related power device technologies
* Deep understanding of breakdown mechanisms, reliability physics and ruggedness behaviour
* Hands-on wafer fabrication experience within a cleanroom environment
* Proficiency with TCAD/device simulation tools (Sentaurus, Silvaco or similar)
* Experience translating device concepts into manufacturable process flows
* Track record of leading device or process development from concept through to mass production
* Strong statistical and data-driven problem-solving capability
* Comfortable influencing cross-functional and international engineering teams
What success looks like:
* Stable, manufacturable high-voltage device platforms
* Improved yield performance and tighter process control windows
* Clear alignment between device architecture and fab capability
* Become a recognised technical leadership within the technology team
