Quality and Strategy

Quality Improvement is a key part of our work to improve services and refine how we do things. We have a global reputation for our quality improvement work and offer opportunities for staff to learn, lead and contribute towards improving services. We launched our Five Year Strategy in April 2018 with four strategic outcomes: population health outcomes, experience of care, staff experience and value. This aligns with the NHS Long Term Strategy and guides our direction of travel.

Our Community

We provide a wide range of community health and mental health services to children, young people, adults of working age, and older adults in The City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We also provide psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond, and Forensic services to the North East London area. Services are delivered in urban and rural settings, mainly in the community close to where people live, with integrated care to optimise resources and outcomes.

Our Mission and Values

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people’s lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive. We seek people who embody these qualities in supporting service users, carers, and colleagues. We welcome people with lived experience of health difficulties and diverse backgrounds to contribute to high standards of care.

Diversity and Flexible Working

ELFT is committed to being a diverse organisation with a workforce that reflects the population we serve. We value a range of backgrounds and life experiences and support fair, inclusive practices and staff networks. We offer flexible working options, including job share and part-time arrangements where suitable.

Relocation and Benefits

As part of the relocation scheme, the Trust may support up to £10,000 for removal and associated expenses (terms and conditions apply).

To work as a highly specialized practitioner in a motivated service, you will need excellent interpersonal, negotiation and counselling skills to communicate complex and highly sensitive information to patients. You should be able to liaise effectively with team members, work within a multidisciplinary approach, and maintain positive relationships and open communication with staff to achieve the desired outcomes. You will also contribute to information resources for patients, carers, and health care professionals.

Inclusive Hiring

We especially welcome people with lived experience of health difficulties and value diversity as part of delivering high standards of care. A service user will be on your assessment centre and interview panel if you are invited to meet us.
