The role is based at our site in Starbeck, Harrogate. There is a high level of trust and autonomy within the team to manage working hours, location and flexibility, however due to the nature of the teams this role works closely with, you would need to be a visible, regular presence on-site so if you are looking for a remote working role, this probably isn't for you. We (the Bettys People team) are a small team, supporting a large workforce of amazing people, and our approach is to enable others to manage their teams well. Technical competence and working knowledge of employment law are a pre-requisite. Sound judgement, great communication skills and a willingness to be confident and decisive will also be required. You will be tenacious, a team player, resilient, warm and professional, able to balance detail and big-picture thinking. N.B. Although this role will partner the areas specified above, the role may business partner different areas of the Bettys business if required to meet the ever-changing needs of the business. The core role would be unchanged. A word on job titles - Our team recently had a name change from HR to People, with a definite drive for the role title to reflect the expansive nature of the role, however we know that many excellent candidates may search for the term ‘HR Business Partner’. We don’t want to fall foul of a search engine malfunction, hence we have deliberately used both job titles in this advert. We hope you understand why. This role is being advertised internally and externally simultaneously. What we offer you As a minimum, all our employees receive free meals, drinks and snacks while at work, a discretionary quarterly profit-share bonus, holiday allowance with the option to buy and (in some cases) sell additional days, company-wide employee discounts, access to our health cash plan, wellbeing support, company funded counselling, and enrolment in the company pension.
