MEICA Project Engineer We are seeking experienced MEICA Project Engineers to support the successful delivery of AMP8 projects across the North West. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle — from outline design through to commissioning and handover — within a collaborative and forward-thinking delivery environment.The position will involve a combination of office, remote and site-based working, supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality water infrastructure projects.The Role As a MEICA Project Engineer, you will work closely with designers, subcontractors, commissioning teams and operational stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You will play a key role in managing MEICA packages throughout design, procurement, manufacture, installation and commissioning phases.You will contribute to programme and budget development, support construction sequencing, monitor delivery performance and help drive a right-first-time culture across the framework.Key Responsibilities Promote health, safety and wellbeing throughout all stages of project design and deliveryManage MEICA packages including design coordination, installation and commissioning activitiesSupport HAZOP, HAZCON and other project review meetingsCollaborate with engineering and construction teams to develop practical construction sequences, programmes and budgetsCoordinate with pre-construction and delivery teams to develop safe, compliant and efficient engineering solutionsDrive high-quality delivery standards and continuous improvement initiativesBuild and maintain strong working relationships with operational teams, supply chain partners and stakeholdersProduce accurate project performance reports and implement mitigation strategies where requiredEnsure permits, inspections, records and quality checks are completed in line with contractual requirementsSupport collaborative working across the wider framework and supply chain teamsEssential Skills & Experience Proven experience delivering MEICA packages across the full project lifecycleStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skillsGood understanding of Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations and safe systems of workKnowledge of temporary works, lifting operations, commissioning and handover processesAbility to interpret engineering technical standards and specificationsExperience managing subcontractors and package deliverySolution-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvementAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environmentFlexible and adaptable approach to project delivery challengesStrong commitment to quality and exceeding expectationsDesirable Experience Water industry experienceExperience working within multidisciplinary delivery teamsExposure to both design and construction environmentsCommitment to continued professional developmentQualifications Essential Relevant Engineering or Project Management qualificationCSCS CardFull UK Driving LicenceDesirable Professional membership or working towards chartershipRelevant MEICA or water industry certificationsWhat's on Offer Opportunity to work on major infrastructure projectsCollaborative and supportive working environmentLong-term career development opportunitiesHybrid working arrangementsInvolvement in technically challenging and rewarding projectsTPBN1_UKTJ
