About The Role:
Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00 and Friday: 07:00 – 13:00. An on-call commitment is required on a 1 in 6-week rota and advanced on-call payments are provided in line with company policy.
To supervise and coordinate hard services maintenance operations on site, ensuring statutory compliance, effective service delivery, and high standards of workmanship across both in-house engineers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise a multi-disciplined hard services team on site (including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC)
Plan, allocate, and oversee daily works, covering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks
Provide technical support, guidance, and leadership to engineers and operatives
Manage subcontractor performance, including induction, supervision, and quality assurance
Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health & safety legislation, RAMS, and statutory requirements
Monitor job progress to ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales and service level agreements
Review completed works and support job sign-off and close-out procedures
Liaise with the Facilities Manager and clients, providing regular updates on ongoing works, issues, and risks
Assist with audits, inspections, and the management of compliance documentation
Proactively identify maintenance risks and escalate issues where necessary
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience within hard services facilities management or building services
Strong supervisory or team leadership experience
Experience managing subcontractors and external service providers
Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Relevant trade qualifications (e.g. Electrical, Combustion, HVAC)
Knowledge of CAFM systems and maintenance planning (desirable)
IOSH / NEBOSH qualification (desirable)
