Lawyers MUST be UK-based and must be qualified in England & Wales. A large national UK charity has an excellent opportunity within its property team for a senior (8 PQE) lawyer. The role can be performed completely remotely (with the opportunity for office attendance if preferred). My client is looking to appoint a senior commercial property lawyer to assist the head of team with day-to-day management of the property team and to directly supervise two more junior team members. You will: Be the lead on complex property transactions - acquisitions, disposals, leases, easements, licences & agreements involving the charity's land. Advise on commercial property transactional matters, including L&T, development, utilities & infrastructure matters. Draft, review and negotiate commercial property documentation such as contracts, transfers, agreements for lease, leases, overage provisions, options & utilities agreements. Mentor and support the two more junior property team members, ensuring best practice and continuous professional development. Manage external lawyers and counsel as appropriate Identify and mitigate risk in relation to property matters in line with the organisation's policy and Charities Act obligations. Ensure compliance with the support framework in the delivery of legal advice to the wider organisation teams The ideal lawyer will have substantial post-qualification experience, including strong technical knowledge of land law, L&T, development and infrastructure-related property matters. You will be a confident drafter with excellent communication and negotiation skills and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach. You should be able to quickly gain credibility and buy in from stakeholders at all levels across a multidisciplinary organisation. You should also have an interest in environmental matters.
