Overall purpose of the job This apprenticeship role is designed to provide a structured and supported introduction to supply chain operations within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The Parts Apprentice will gain hands-on experience across procurement, stock control, and warehouse logistics, contributing to the smooth flow of goods and services across the business. This role supports the development of a well-rounded understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, with a focus on delivering value, accuracy, and efficiency. The apprentice will attend college in block weeks each quarter and will work towards the Level 3 Supply Chain Practitioner standard. In the final year, they will complete a portfolio and prepare for the End Point Assessment (EPA). Responsibilities Support the receipt, inspection, and correct storage of goods and parts. Assist with picking and packing of parts for internal teams and external engineers. Input and maintain accurate stock data using inventory systems. Participate in regular stock counts and help investigate discrepancies. Assist in raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers under supervision. Help maintain supplier records, including delivery times, pricing, and product details. Support the coordination of uniform and PPE orders for new starters.
