About this opportunity:
Join our Analytics & AI Platform - the hub for enabling Analytics & AI within the organisation. This role is within the Business Intelligence as a Service (BIaaS) lab, focused on delivering our vision for the future of BI.
The key focus is "Enablement": this role involves BI Platform Engineering, including the Design, Build, Implementation, Scale-Out, and Support of our strategic BI Applications and related Products, Features, End-to-End Patterns/Blueprints, Best Practices, Ways of Working, and Operating Models. You should have experience working with teams like Networking, Security, Architecture, Cloud Services, and a solid understanding of Software Engineering Principles to support our BI products and services.
You will work in a Feature Team within the BIaaS lab, collaborating with a Product Owner and other Engineers, focusing on:
* Connectivity between BI Applications and data sources
* Self-Service capabilities for BI users
* Conversational Analytics via Natural Language Query interfaces
* A BI Semantic / Knowledge Layer
* Simplification of our BI Estate

What you’ll need:
* Skills in Cloud BI Platforms like PowerBI, Looker, Tableau
* Relevant Cloud certification or platform engineering skills (PowerBI, Fabric, Looker, LookML, GCP, etc.)
* Experience with Cloud Curation components (Terraform, IAM, Harness, K8S, DNS, TLS, Load balancers)
* Ability to engage in platform design and problem-solving with Architecture, Networking, Security teams
* Passion for BI and innovation
* Understanding of Software Development Principles and BI Content Deployment
* Knowledge of BI Data Patterns and End-to-End Data Solutions
* Problem-solving aptitude and effective communication skills
* Customer and Platform focus, minimizing technical debt
