The team ensures that support services are easy to find and understand, and this role adds an important dimension by coordinating events that bring those services to life. As Student Information and Events Coordinator, you will take responsibility for the operational planning, delivery, and promotion of student-facing events within the Academic Services portfolio. These include welcome and transition activities such as wellbeing workshops, and careers events. Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the University, you’ll manage logistics, marketing, and evaluation to ensure events run smoothly and meet student needs. You’ll also support service areas in developing event strategies that engage students throughout their journey, using data and feedback to inform approaches that drive attendance and improve impact. Person Specification We are looking for an adaptable, creative and highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. The post holder will have demonstrable experience in coordinating events, ideally within the education sector, and providing insights to drive continuous improvements. They should be a collaborative team player with a passion for creating high-quality experiences for students. Knowledge of the higher education sector and understanding of the student experience would be advantageous. Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the post The Student Information and Events Coordinator will support and coordinate the planning, delivery, promotion and evaluation of student-facing events that contribute to student success, foster engagement, and are integrated within a recognisable Hubble experience. The post holder will work closely with colleagues across Academic Services, other University teams and external stakeholders to coordinate and deliver high-quality student-facing events that support success, engagement, and student employability, reflecting sector expectations. They will play a key role in ensuring events are integrated within the Hubble service. As event activity fluctuates throughout the academic year, the post holder will need to be flexible and responsive, adapting to shifting priorities and supporting wider team objectives as needed. In this role, you will: Coordinate student-facing events that directly support Academic Services' objectives for transition, retention, progression, success, and wellbeing, ensuring they integrate with and amplify existing services. Alongside colleagues within the Student Information team, serve as a central point of coordination to maximise efficiency and co-delivery across all teams within the Directorate. In collaboration with Academic Services teams, coordinate the logistics and administration of events, which could be in-person or online. This includes organising room and facilities bookings, managing financial processes, collaborating with the wider team on promotion and marketing, ensuring health and safety requirements are met, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to support successful delivery. Lead on the creation and promotion of event content across digital and physical channels, ensuring messaging is clear, inclusive, and aligned with the Hubble tone of voice. Work collaboratively to maximise student engagement and attendance through targeted marketing and consistent branding. Interpret and evaluate data and feedback to inform event planning and promotional strategies, sharing insights to support service delivery and future planning. Contribute to the design, development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of student-facing events. Actively research sector trends and competitor activity to identify best practice, inform innovation, and enhance the Directorate’s event offering. Support the dissemination of insights across the Directorate to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Support other parts of the wider Directorate team and provide cover as needed. General This role will require occasional travel to support off campus events and activities. During peak times, there are restrictions on taking leave.
