Learning Partner – BS22 Long-Term Opportunity, Full-Time, September Start. A Primary School in the Weston-Super-Mare area is seeking a Learning Partner to work with pupils in a learning hub for children with additional needs. The school is a 3 form entry establishment with a calm, nurturing and community-focused environment where staff, pupils and parents support one another. The curriculum is open for teachers to develop activities to meet each child’s learning preferences.
The Role
This school is looking for a Learning Partner to work in one of their Nurture Hubs for children with learning needs. The room has 7 children aged 5 to 9 with another 3 Learning Partners in the room. You will be supporting within the Hub in the mornings and then working 1 to 1 with a pupil in the afternoon, transitioning them into their year group classroom.
* Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and communicate clearly.
* Be flexible and encouraging when working with the pupil.
* Be adaptable with the child’s learning environment.
* Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
* Support children in a group setting, using objects to support and encourage learning.
