Job Overview
Pharmacy Technician – HMP Stocken, Oakham (Category C Prison). Join a team of a pharmacist, a pharmacy technician, and a dispenser in a security environment providing medication services through 6 dispensary hatches.
Hours & Salary
- Monday – Sunday service
- Weekdays 7.30 am – 5.30 pm
- Weekends and Bank Holidays 8.30 am – 5.30 pm
Full‑time. Annual salary £34,428 – £41,659 per annum depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding, patient‑centred care, gathering, listening to, and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
- Maintain patient medical records to agreed standards and enforce SOPs for a safe, secure medicine‑management service.
- Deliver non‑judgemental care within professional scope, including timely medicine administration and cost‑effective prescribing analysis.
- Collaborate as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Current CPD (Continual Professional Development) record.
- Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
- Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment preferred.
