As a Trade Effluent Regulatory Scientist, you will regulate non-domestic discharges to ensure environmental and social prosperity in the region. You will travel across South Lincolnshire and the wider region, reporting to the Trade Effluent Regulation Manager, working with a team to regulate trade effluent customers and investigate pollution incidents.

Duties include:
* Protecting the environment from non-domestic discharges
* Setting up and reviewing discharge consents
* Applying scientific reasoning for effective regulation
* Enforcing regulations and gathering evidence for legal proceedings
* Investigating pollution incidents and reviewing catchment areas
* Ensuring health and safety compliance
* Collaborating with scientists and operational teams
* Contributing to regional policies and standards
Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific field
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the region
* Knowledge of water recycling and sewage treatment processes is advantageous
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders
* Proficiency in IT and data analysis
* Confidence in regulation and customer service
* Understanding of health and safety standards
* Self-management skills for workload prioritization
