TT Electronics, Fairford, is hiring for a Semi-Skilled Wire Person, to assist in the production of our products and electronic assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the assembly of cables, harnesses and other TT Electronics' products, with the limited supervision of your Team Leader.
2. In line with TT Electronics standard operating procedures, demonstrate basic skills in crimping, soldering, measuring materials and electronic assembly.
3. With support, read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
4. Accurately record details of the assembly you're working on in our internal computer system and on paper documents.
5. Assist in the jacketing, braiding and shrinking of cables.
6. Keep your workspace and floor area clean and tidy and take care of assembly parts.
7. Work flexibly, supporting other team members when asked.
8. Complete our on-line safety training, taking care of your own health and safety on site and contributing towards a safe working environment for your team members.
In this role, you'll also:
9. Learn how to lay wires to form a cable to be used in our assemblies.
10. Learn how to operate machinery safely.
11. Develop your skills by completing online and classroom-based training, working towards the internationally recognised certification, IPC620.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

12. Experience in a similar role within our industry, with the ability to demonstrate basic assembly skills during a short trade test.
13. Values punctuality and a willingness to learn and develop own career with TT Electronics.
14. Works well as part of a team and on your own.
15. Will ask questions when you don’t understand and speak up if there is a problem or you need help.
