Overview
First‑class airline pilot position for fixed‑wing aircraft operating within commercial aviation. Requires 5+ years of experience, a Commercial Pilot Licence (fixed wing), and ability to fly regularly on the road.
Responsibilities
* Fly fixed‑wing aircraft or helicopters.
* Follow emergency procedures to compensate for equipment malfunctions or failures.
* Make in‑flight repairs (e.g., replace fuses, adjust instruments).
* Monitor operation of engines and aircraft systems during flight.
* Perform post‑flight inspections.
* Record equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken during flight.
* Report required repairs to ground maintenance personnel.
* Test new aircraft to evaluate performance.
* Co‑ordinate flight activities with ground crews and air‑traffic control, informing crew members of flight and test procedures, and direct the activities of aircraft crew during flights.
* Conduct in‑flight tests and monitor functioning of aircraft equipment and systems during flights.
* Conduct pre‑flight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure that weight and balance specifications are met.
* Contact control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions and other information.
* Maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters and respond to and report in‑flight emergencies and malfunctions.
* Prepare flight evaluation reports.
Qualifications
* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
* 5 years or more of relevant experience.
* Commercial Pilot Licence – fixed wing.
* Criminal record check.
* Medical exam.
* Willingness to travel regularly.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Team player, organized, accurate, efficient interpersonal skills.
* High attention to detail, manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, ability to distinguish colours, sound discrimination.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
